Arlene Shirlee grew up in rural Wisconsin, and got her start in comics by drawing fantastical murder scenes for her elementary school art projects. Since then, her creative journey has taken her through video, musical comedy, extensive bloggery, and painting. She lives in Oakland California, and  is currently working on a Graphic Novel entitled “On a Typical Friday Night I Am” about her online dating adventures.
